Mint in a container returns after a very cold winter!

We are so fortunate to live in an area of Canada where we have a long growing season and we have a yard big enough to grow a decent garden. Ours is a work in progress and we are learning all the time what to grow, what grows and how much of what to grow. Its all a learning opportunity.

As I post pictures on my Instagram account (@veganonthego) I often get comments about how others would love to have a garden of their own and some of the wonderful veggies and spices that we harvest and showcase in our food.

What I thought would be doable for a lot of folks is to grow some veggies for a simple salad and a couple of your favourite spices to add flavour to some of your favourite dishes and drinks.

For a salad what would work is to grow some lettuce, green onion, radishes and tomatoes. For the spices I was thinking of chives, basil and mint. All easy to grow and they only take a bit of space.
