Go Vegan or Go Home Cookbook Review
Go Vegan or Go Home Cookbook Review is my gift to Ashley Ruttenberg, author of this practical cookbook and resource for new vegans and busy vegan families. It really is a wonderful gift and I appreciate it that she is contributing this to the plant based community. The more we share how easy it is (with a bit of knowledge, information, practice…) to be vegan, the more people will consider it at least for one day a week, then maybe for a whole week…who know’s where that could lead. Thank Ashley for making vegan a practical consideration for everyone.
Consider this great guide for yourself or someone who might be interested in trying out a plant-based lifestyle and doesn’t know how to start. Ashley has them covered!
OK, here is some of the things I like about Ashley’s book….
Go Vegan or Go Home Cookbook Review
Ashley connected with me through my Instagram Account @veganonthego and asked me if I would I look at her cookbook and if I liked it, to support her to spread the word. I told her that I would be happy to look at her book and if it makes sense (fit with my purpose – sharing veganism – one delicious meal at a time) I would do something to help her out. Well this blog is just that. How I can support her. I invited her to be a partner in my quarterly giveaway; Ashley is giving a cookbook to one lucky winner. That is so cool.
I was pleasantly surprised when I received Ashley’s book “Go Home or Go Vegan”. It is so well laid and practical for the emerging vegan and busy vegan families. Ashley clearly lays out a comprehensive and simple weekly meal plans (4 weeks worth) that include: shopping lists, all the recipes, and tips for cooking, preserving and saving money. She has many time saving features such as, you cook the rice for two meals at one time, eat one portion the day you cook the rice and save the remaining portion of rice for a meal one or two days later or maybe for lunch the next day. Time saving tips that everyone can use. She has thought this through for you….so you don’t have too. Just follow the lists, the plans, the recipes and you will be good to go.
The shopping lists, include everything you will need for each week in a check list format, that way if you can easily see if you have some on hand, or if its time to buy. The weekly plans and corresponding shopping lists ensure you have enough of each ingredient for each recipe and you buy the ingredient once. That way you will get the best price, fresh ingredients and limited waste from overbuying….so easy to do.
I wish Ashley great success with her cookbook and encourage you to check out her website for yourself. https://plantpoweredmamabear.com/
Happy cooking and love to you all!
