Edible Flowers
Hey friends! A really neat trick to add colour and flavour to any dish in this case a salad is to add in a few edible flowers. In this case I used some pansies I had in my yard. Of course like all other things we eat, avoid anything that is sprayed with pesticides, wash your flowers and if you are not sure if it is edible, don’t eat it or do your research on-line. Some well known edible flowers include: Begonia, Carnations, Chrysanthemums, Dandelions, Alliums, Mint, Impatiens, Nasturtiums and Roses are some of my favorite. Add these flowers to salads, desserts and more. Enjoy!
